The COC makes available a medal that is free to all member societies in good standing. The medal is available annually to be awarded by the society. It is up to each society to decide for which category, service or achievement this medal is to be awarded.
The C.O.C. medal is mounted on a shield (12 x 16 cm) which can be hung.
One medal is available per member society per year, unless exceptional circumstances warrant additional awards in the opinion of the President of COC. The medal can be awarded either for excellence in orchid exhibition at an annual show or for outstanding achievement or service at a special society event. The medal is awarded based on criteria established by the society.
