Amateur plant growers all over the world marvel at the ease of growing orchids on
windowsills or under artificial lights. They enjoy the beauty and complexity of
the flowers, which generally stay in bloom for a long period of time. Grown primarily in bark, moss and other soilless mixes, these plants are surprisingly resilient and make excellent house plants. At the Southern Ontario Orchid Society we welcome, encourage and support the interests of novice growers.
